Dr. Paul Barone is a board-certified cardiologist who has been in practice since 1999. Dr. Barone has been the President of Affinity Heart Care since 2011. Dr. Barone is a non-invasive cardiologist who specializes in preventative cardiology, such as treatment for hypertension, hyperlipidemia, obesity as well as other genetic risk factors for premature heart disease.   He also treats other common heart disease issues such as coronary heart disease, valvular disease, and cardiomyopathies. 

Dr. Barone went to medical school at New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. There he learned to treat patients by the osteopathic philosophy of treat the whole person.  His training focused on prevention, wellness and self-healing.

Dr. Oxana Ovakimyan is board certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease by the American Board of Internal Medicine. She is also board certified in adult echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, vascular ultrasound interpretation and interventional cardiology.

Dr. Ovakimyan graduated from Moscow State University of Medicine and Dentistry and completed Internal Medicine residency in Moscow, Russia. She re-located to the US in 2011 and completed her 2nd Internal Medicine Residency at Overlook Medical Center in Summit, NJ and Cardiovascular Fellowship at Morristown Medical Center in Morristown, NJ. After her fellowship, Dr. Ovakimyan went on to complete an advanced fellowship in Interventional Cardiology at Brown University in Providence, RI.

Dr. Ovakimyan specializes in all aspects of cardiology, with a special focus in interventional cardiology. She performs cardiac and peripheral vascular catheterization and angioplasty/stenting. She has expertise in the management of complex coronary and peripheral arterial disease. She is especially passionate about women’s cardiovascular health.

Outside of practice, her hobbies include target archery and spending time with her family.

Dr. Ovakimyan is fluent in English, Russian and Armenian 

Dr. Sheth received her medical degree from State University of New York at Downstate in Brooklyn, NY and completed her residency in internal medicine at North Shore University Hospital, and cardiology fellowship at Morristown Medical Center.

Dr. Sheth is a non-invasive cardiologist with expertise in hypertension, hyperlipidemia, preventative cardiology, advanced echocardiography, nuclear and vascular imaging.  She also has an interest in peripartum cardiomyopathy. She believes in forming relationships with her patients that lead to long term mutual trust and shared decision making.

In her free time, Dr. Sheth enjoys painting, ballroom dancing and traveling.  She has used her interest in travel in the past to take medical courses in Denmark, as well as study and work abroad in England. 

Dr. Sheth is fluent in English, Gujarati and Hindi.
